The best time to trade gold for most traders is the London and New York overlap, roughly 12:00–16:00 GMT (one hour later in winter). That’s when liquidity peaks, spreads are usually tightest and US data hits at 8:30 a.m. New York time. The quiet late-Asian hours tend to bring wider spreads and choppy, directionless moves.
